 Casting process

We've got a complete mould including leaky station and air vents. Note that the mold might be re used a few times, you can become up to 30-50 casts, depending on how much detailed the traces are.

Now it's time to the casting itself. Again, we use the release broker to pay for the mold inner surfaces -- make sure that you are really methodical, differently, the cast could stick with the mold.

We will be casting wax and soap Wax melts supplies.

For soap casting, we need certainly to liquefy the material first by warming up it . You can work with a regular microwave using maximum settings, for about one minute (depends upon the microwave output signal and which exact soap material you utilize ).

Squeeze both mould halves closely together. Pour the hot cloth slowly in to the mold.

It'll solidify in approximately 1-3 hours, depending upon the ambient temperature (you can put it into a fridge to speed up things ).

The very same process can possibly be used to cast candle wax, and the only real added step is cutting a groove out for the candle wick, around the opposite end from the pouring channel.

Insert the wick and put the wax (again, then melted using microwave) into the mold.

Wax solidifies quicker than soap and is ready to be pulled outside of this mold in approximately 30-60 minutes (again, based on the ambient temperature). Ensure to fill up the pouring station completely, since the wax has a tendency to shrink while cooling .
